A brief but select visit of all the must-see places on the Olive Oil Greenway, in the heart of Andalusia.
This journey is designed for people who have little time for getting way but still want to travel to the heart of Andalusia and ride the most attractive and complete part of the old Olive Oil Train route.
With all the convenience of the Olive Oil Greenway – gentle slopes, reasonable length stages, and good services along the way – you can cycle through the endless Andalusian olive groves, visit towns and villages of great beauty and historical interest, discover old customs that still live on to this day, and taste the typical food of the Mediterranean diet, in which delicious olive oil is a basic ingredient.
The journey between the monumental gems of Alcaudete and Lucena offers you the option of staying the night at either Doña Mencía or Zuheros, both of which are picturesque villages typical of the Andalusian highlands. The landscape is once again dominated by olive groves but also features interesting examples of Mediterranean woodland in the rugged foothills of the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park, a natural area that has been recognized as a geopark due to its singular rock formations.
(When booking we would ask you to state your preferences: overnight stay at Doña Mencía or at Zuheros, and whether you want bed and breakfast or half board).
